  Great place to stop and feel like you have gone back in time. We have passed this location on numerous encounters but never stopped because of the traffic at the intersection and not wanting to cross lanes. Recently, we were headed back from a day trip to visit Helen, GA and decided to make the stop and browse the produce.
  
  We fell in love with it immediately, outside they have an old farmstand era produce stand with lots of fresh items locally harvested. Inside is a quaint store area with more produce, local honey, and some health food items.
  
  The smoke from the BBQ and the aroma of the kitchen permeated our senses. While we did not have an opportunity to eat as we had plans to meet friends for dinner later in the evening back in Dawsonville we have committed to returning and ensuring we return hungry.
  
  We did purchase numerous produce and fruit items and all of it was spectacular and farm fresh. If you are in the area it is well worth crossing lanes to make this stop and to check it out.

  MY PEOPLE!!!!   (RUN LITTLE PIGGIES RUN!)
  
  I have passed what I thought was a shack on several occasions while visiting and leaving Dahlonega.  I always promise to stop "next time" because the aroma is divine and it always draws my attention.  As we were passing by yet again, I caught that unmistakable smell.  This time i decided that we should pop a U-turn and go back.  That's exactly what we did!   As we pull in, there is a guy standing outside smoking meat which they do all day every day.  This is not a little barbeque shack, it is actually a grocery store and restaurant.  What??  Yes Ma'am, you can do a little produce shopping,  eat in or grab a bite to go.  
  
  In addition to barbecue, they offer a variety of breakfast sandwiches and a breakfast special with eggs, grits or gravy, sausage or bacon, biscuits or toast for $4.75.  If you are not interested in breakfast, you can order one of their many lunch sandwiches and sides.  However, I am there for one thing only: ribs!  As my husband places the order, I meander around the space looking at all of the condiments and the produce they have available.  I feel hungry so I take a seat at one of the quaint wooden tables where I am joined by my husband.  He leans over and whispers "They cut their own French fries, I saw them".  We know we must order these fresh hand-cut fries.  He pops us and places the order.  As we sit and wait for the fries, my half-rack of ribs with my husband's pulled pork sandwich hits the table, (packaged to go).  I decide to open up the package and taste them.  WRONG MOVE!  I couldn't stop.  I was on those ribs like a vulture on a dead body.  The sauce that was provided wasn't about the sweet or the heat, it was just perfectly balanced with a slight kiss of vinegar.  Flawless!  
  
  These ribs were beautifully smoked and (fall off the bone) tender.  I had to actually lean over, dip them in the sauce and eat them quickly before the meat fell from the bone.  I was totally up for the challenge!  To wrap it all up, we finally received our order of hand-cut fries and they delivered in every way: hot, fresh and delicious!
  
  After arriving home, I noticed that I had a full 8 oz serving of that incredible sauce and I intend to spread it over everything!  It's going down Honey!  
  
  Here is what you need to know:
  You cannot drive past this place as that would be bad karma.
  
  They are located on Highway 52 at the intersection where you turn left to go to Dahlonega or right to Helen.  The restaurant will be on your immediate right as you are traveling north on 400 past the outlets and beyond.   Just follow your nose.
  
  Their hours are as follows: Tues-Thurs 5:30-3pm, Fri and Sat they close at 5:30 and on Sunday they open at 7am and close at 4pm.  They are not open on Monday because even God had to have a day of rest.
  
  You are in the country now so you can expect that "country sweet" service and know that the crew will  take good care of you.
  
  Yes, you now have a bonafide barbeque connection north of the outlets.  You're welcome!

  This spot is legit, had the luck of passing several times for work up in Helen. I've enjoyed the biscuits, brisket and boiled peanuts. I'll be sure to stop by again when I'm back up in the area.

  After staying in Dahlonega, we found this spot due to Yelp! and we're glad that we did.  My pulled pork sandwich was very tneder and full of flavor without being too smoky.  The fries were excellent- natural, fresh and hand cut.   My wife's hamburger was outstanding!
  
  The people are super nice and it is definitely a down home atmosphere-friendly and genuine.  They didn't even give me a hard time for getting my iced tea unsweet.
